Yumna appointed as temporary Secretary General of PPM

Yumna Maumoon, the daughter of PPM’s founder and previous President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, has been appointed as temporary Secretary General of PPM.

Members were also assigned for two other positions at the Party’s sixth council meeting held last night at PPM’s Parliamentary Group Office.

This included appointing Zaha Waheed of H. Hathihaa as Registrar and Ibrahim Naeem of Hulhumale’ Flat 67-3-7 as temporary Treasurer.

PPM’s Fundamental Law states that people for these three positions should be assigned through a secret vote of its special Council.

PPM’s Fundamental Law also states that the first Congress should be held and members should be assigned to various positions, within six months of the party being inaugurated.
