Finally! Spotify is now available in Maldives

The long-awaited music streaming service Spotify has been made available in the Maldives. 

The availability of Spotify means that customers of the app can now subscribe for the service from the Maldives. 

The subscription fee for Spotify in the Maldives is USD 4.99 or MVR 76.83. 

Spotify is currently ranked as one of the most popular and used music streaming services in the world. The service currently has 345 million users and 155 million subscribers. 

Spotify had announced that it would be extending its services to around 80 countries last week. The company estimated that the new markets will give it a reach of around a billion more people.

The Maldives is listed among the new nations, including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Other than this, the service was also broadened in the regions of The Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and Latin Americas. 

Spotify is favored among customers for the wide range of content starting from music to podcasts available on the app. A number of local artists also use the service.
