Pakistan government asked for simplification of visa procedure

The government of Maldives has asked the government of Pakistan to simplify the visa procedure for Maldivian students in Pakistan.

Pakistan’s paper Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported today that this request was made by Maldives’ Minister of State for Education Aminath Ali, during her meeting with Pakistan’s Minister of State for Education and Training, Shahjahan Yousaf, as part of her current visit to Pakistan.

According to APP, Aminath Ali expressed interest on behalf of Maldives, in academic programmes such as Shariah & Law offered by International Islamic University and other disciplines of Science and Technology.

The article on APP did not include any response by the government of Pakistan to the request by the government of Maldives for simplification of the visa procedure.
