Company donates thermal cameras to Maldives for COVID-19 efforts

Sanken Overseas Private Limited has donated high-end thermal scanners to the Maldivian government to assist the efforts of the government in its fight against COVID-19. Sanken Overseas Private Limited has donated high-end thermal cameras (Satir Fever Screening System - Hotfind-S with Blackbody) to the Maldivian government to assist the efforts of the government in its fight against COVID-19.

Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed received the equipment on behalf of the government of Maldives. 

In a statement, the company stated that "Having seen the many efforts of the Maldivian government fighting the global pandemic COVID 19 and in controlling the situation in the country, we believe that there is a huge role the private sector can play in supporting and contributing to the cause."  

The company stated that its firm belief in the resilience of the local government and the citizens of the Maldives to overcome the crisis with the pandemic.

The statement also expressed gratitude to the government and the Ministry of Tourism for the proactiveness and adapting the processes which have enabled the tourism sector to continue the respective project works within health guidelines, keeping the disruption to the investment and the economy at a minimum

Sanken Overseas is a company involved in the tourism and construction industry of the Maldives. The company is behind the construction of several luxury resorts. It is also the majority shareholder of the Crystal Plaza Resorts which owns the Amari Havodda Resort in the Maldives. The company is also investing in three other resorts in the country.
