Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Monday, confirmed 27 new COVID-19 cases in Maldives.
According to HPA, the 27 new cases are 18 Bangladeshis and nine Maldivians.
While the number of people to test positive for COVID-19 in Maldives has now risen to 862, 30 have recovered and three have died from complications.
Confirmed cases include 288 Maldivians and 574 foreigners. And of the foreigners to test positive, 478 are Bangladeshis who work in Maldives.
Meanwhile, nine COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized; six Maldivians and three foreigners – one of whom is in serious condition and is breathing with the assistance of a ventilator.
