Human Rights Ministry reserves three posts for people with disabilities

The Ministry of Gender, Family and Human Rights has reserved three posts for people with disabilities.

The Human Rights Ministry said today that the post of Procurement Officer has been reserved for persons with disabilities, and two additional posts will be reserved for visually-impaired persons.

The Ministry said that the Constitution stipulates that it is the responsibility of the government to facilitate equal work opportunities for persons who require special protection.

Article 37 of the Constitution states that every citizen has the right to engage in any

employment or occupation.

As part of its efforts to facilitate equal work opportunities for people with disabilities, the Ministry has urged government and private offices to also reserve posts for people with disabilities.
