Woman goes missing in Vilimal

A woman has gone missing in Vilimalé, an island at a distance of 10 minutes by boat from Malé and administratively a part of Malé, says the Maldives Police Service.

The woman has been identified as Faheema Mohammed (pic.), Meyvage, H.Dh. Kulhuduffushi, and she is 38 years of age. According to the police, the report of her being missing was filed by family members last night, around 12:50.

The police also said that the woman was last seen by the family at home. The police, aided by the family of the missing person, are trying to locate her.

The police have made a public request for anyone having any information about the missing person to immediately contact the police and update them.
