Nasheed departs to Raa Atoll

Former President and Maldivian Democratic Party’s (MDP) presidential candidate Mohamed Nasheed has departed to Raa Atoll.

MDP has informed that Nasheed is planned to visit Angolhitheem first, followed by Rasgetheem, Vaadhoo and Alifushi.

MDP also said that the purpose of Nasheed’s trip is to gain support for MDP candidate contesting for the Raa Atoll Council’s Alifushi seat, Mu’umina Eesafulhu of Haveereenaaz, Alifushi.

Nasheed is planned to meet members of MDP in every island.

Nasheed will participate in a special function by MDP in Alifushi tonight.

Nasheed is accompanied by senior officials of MDP including Chairperson Moosa Manik, Parliamentary Group Leader Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and former Vice President Ibrahim Hussain Zaki.
