Registrar of Tax Appeal Tribunal dismissed

The Registrar at Tax Appeal Tribunal, Maajidha Majdhy has been dismissed from her post.

The Tax Appeal Tribunal issued a statement last Tuesday night, that Maajidha had questioned the legitimate government of the country and called for people not to pay their taxes over social media.

The Tribunal said it was unacceptable behavior for a person in her position.

It announced that Maajidha was dismissed from her post in reference to Article 43 of the Tribunal’s regulations, with the unanimous vote of all members of the Tribunal.
