Defence Minister: Peace behind most development projects

Defence Minister, Adam Shareef Umaru has said that the reason why many development projects are being run in the country is because peace has been established in the society.

The Minister made the remarks at the closing ceremony of 13th "Moodhukulhivarun Ufaaverikan" (joy through watersports) hosted by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) at Haa Alifu Kelaa.

Minister Adam Shareef Umaru said that it is because peace and unity has been established in the country that there are so many development projects being conducted in the country.

At the closing ceremony, the Chief of Defence Force, Major General Ahmed Shiyam, presented certificates of gratitude to those who helped the program run by the MNDF Northern Area.
