Maldives Meteorological Service has said that torrential rain along with rough seas are expected across the country for the next 24 hours.

The MET Office said that the current heavy rains are caused by a low pressure turf in the region. And so rain is expected across the country from 8 p.m. tonight to 8 p.m. tomorrow night.

And winds from 13-23 mph are expected in the central atolls from west and south west with thunderstorms along with winds from 7-15 mph in the northern atolls.

Seas in the northern atolls are expected to be rough on average along with turbulent seas during showers in the other areas.
