Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela says she’s eager to experience Maldivian culture and the beauty of Maldivian islands.
Urvashi arrived in Maldives for her special appearance at Maldives Association on Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) Travel Awards: Gala Night this Wednesday morning. She will be staying at Adaaran Hudhuranfushi – which will be hosting the event.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with “Sun” this Wednesday morning, Urvashi said she was happy to finally visit a country which she had heard so much about since childhood.
“The entire world knows how beautiful this place is, how beautiful the islands are. I’ve always wanted to come here and today I’m visiting the Maldives for the very first time,” said the beauty queen who represented India at the Miss Universe beauty pageant in 2015.
“I can’t wait to experience Maldivian culture, Maldivian food, Maldivian people. I’m sure it’s going to be a great experience. I’m so happy.”
The first-time visitor to Maldives thanked MATATO for the opportunity to participate in the MATATO Travel Awards: Gala Night as a special guest.
In addition to representing India at the Miss Universe beauty pageant, the 23-year-old has the Miss Teen India 2009 and Miss Diva 2015 under her belt.
Urvashi’s first appearance in Bollywood was opposite Sunny Deol in the movie Singh Saab the Great in 2013. She has since acted in box office hits such as Mr. Airavata and Sanam Re.
