ACP Mannan dismissed from post

Head of Commissioner of Police Bureau, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Abdul Mannan Yoosuf has been dismissed from his post.

“Sun” has been informed Mannan was dismissed from his post last week. His replacement is yet to be appointed.

Mannan’s dismissal comes amid multiple changes to top positions with Maldives Police Service.

Both ACP Abdulla Fairoosh and Superintendent of Police Mohamed Riyaz have also been dismissed. And ACP Hussain Adam has been demoted to Chief Superintendent of Police.

Meanwhile, a special committee has been set up by President’s Office to investigate a dispute between Commissioner of Police Ahmed Areef and Deputy Commissioner of Police Ahmed Saudhy.
