Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has said that a total of 193 representatives are in the Maldivian delegation taking part in the World Travel Market (WTM) 2017 exhibition held in London from 6-8 November.
MMPRC said that the 193 representatives have been given the opportunity among the 68 companies that applied.
The Maldivian delegation at the largest tourism promotion exhibition this year will be led by the Tourism Minister, Moosa Zameer. The Minister will be accompanied by the Attorney General, Ahmed Anil, the Maldivian Ambassador to the UK, Belgium and EU, Ahmed Shian and the Executive Managing Director of MMPRC, Haaris Mohamed.
Speaking at the information session for the WTM 2017 by the MMPRC today held at Hotel Jen today, the Acting Managing Director, Haaris Mohamed said that they tried to give the opportunity to as many people as possible for the exhibition.
He noted that the distribution of the exhibition stands were focused on showcase as many aspects of the Maldivian tourism industry as possible.
Haaris said that the MMPRC currently has numerous ongoing programs to promote Maldivian tourism and highlighted that the voting is now open for the digital video competition, Adventure of Maldives. He said that there are other promotions on different online platforms as well.
