President’s Office probes dispute between CP Areef, DCP Saudhy

President’s Office has launched an inquiry into a case involving Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Areef and Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Saudhy.

“Sun” has been informed the case involves a dispute between CP Areef and DCP Saudhy. A special committee has been established by the President’s Office to investigate the issue.

The committee consists of: Legal Affairs Minister at President’s Office, Aishath Azima Shakoor; State Minister at President’s Office, Mohamed Mujthaz; Under-Secretary at President’s office, Isom Mohamed; and State Minister at Ministry of Defense, Mohamed Zuhair.

President’s Office was not immediately available for comment.
