Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC) has said that their road development project on the island is continuing non-stop and will be completed in two to three months.

Acting Managing Director of RT Asia, Ahmed Mamdhooh said that they have to accept that technical issues will come up as they forward with bigger projects.
He said that the rumors that say that the road development project in Kulhudhuffushi has come to a halt are false.
Mamdhooh said that the project will resume in the same pace very soon. He said that the target is to complete the project in two months.
A total of 18 roads in Kulhudhuffushi is set to be upgraded with the sharks and two of those raods have been.
MRDC said that the project came has come to a halt while the work was ongoing on Kanborani Hingun. The company was contracted for the MVR 60 million road development project of the island with 12,000 people, on 31 August 2017.
