Bidding opened to build 300 housing units in 3 islands

Bidding has been opened to build 300 housing units under the State social housing scheme in Lh. Hinnavaru, Lh. Naifaru and S. Feydhoo, reports Ministry of Finance and Treasury.

Ministry of Finance and Treasury announced this Sunday the authority was looking for interested parties to design and build housing units in the three islands on contractor finance basis.

100 housing units are to be built on each island.

The invitation to submit bid proposals has been extended to both local and international parties which qualify until November 21.

Bids can be submitted for three lots. Bid proposals can be submitted for individual lots, or all the lots combined.

The bid security for each lot is MVR 250,000. The duration for the bid security is 148 days from the day the bid proposal is submitted.

Parties which wish to enter the bidding process need to pay a fee of MVR 1,500, payable from October 16 to October 21.

Bids will be opened at 11 am on November 23 at the meeting room of National Tender and Project Monitoring Department of Ministry of Finance and Treasury.
