Man arrested over Haris’ murder

Police have arrested a suspect in the murder of Haris Abdul Gafoor – stabbed to death in Hulhumale’ last Friday night.

Police report a 23-year-old Maldivian man has been arrested from Hulhumale’ in connection with the murder of Haris, 25, from Gold Leaf in G. A. Dhaandhoo.

Police report the suspect is believed to have been directly involved in the murder.

Information officer at Aasandha – which runs Hulhumale’ Hospital, Ashiya Solih reported Haris was dead when he was taken to the hospital.

She also reported that Haris had eight stab wounds.
