Police: Suspects wanted in Anas' murder still at large

The two suspects wanted in the murder of Mohamed Anas, 25, are still at large, reports Maldives Police Service.

Anas, from Fenfiyaazuge in R. Meedhoo was stabbed to death inside the Litus Service Center in Male’ City on July 31.

Police announced on September 20 that they were looking for two suspects in connection with the murder. They are:

1. Mohamed Saaz, 21, from Gulfaamuge in Th. Kinbidhoo

2. Afrah Abdul Razzaq, 21, from M. Lonumidhilige in Male’ City

MPS has requested anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the two suspects to contact the Serious and Organized Crime Department at 9911099.

Police have additional suspects in the case under custody. They include a minor and a Maldivian male arrested in August in a raid on the house M. Dhimisk in Male’ City.

Anas had been the Captain of a speedboat operating in R. Atoll. He had been attacked by a group of masked men.
