Foreign Minister Dr. Mohamed Asim has called upon the international community to take quick action in stopping the inhumane treatment of the Rohingya Muslims by the government of Myanmar.
Dr. Asim expressed the concerns at an Emergency Meeting by the OIC on the Rohingya Muslims issue.
He said that all possible measures must be taken to stop the genocide.
The Maldives have called for swift action in the Rohingya issue at a time the government is facing criticism for not taking part in the Anti-Genocide vote in the 72nd UN General Assembly.
