Campus of Avid College opens in Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo

Leading private college in the Maldives, Avid College has inaugurated their first campus outside of Malé City in Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo yesterday.

Avid College, which operate two campuses in the capital, said that the new campus opened yesterday at the building formerly used by Uloomiyya Pre-School is targeted for the entire atoll.

The college said that the inauguration of the new campus was attended by the members of the Thinadhoo Island Council and students of the new campus.

The new campus opened yesterday has started three Master's level courses including Master's in Teaching in Primary and Secondary and Master's in Education.

Director of Development and Marketing at Avid College, Ibrahim Naseem said that the Avid Campus in Thinadhoo too would have courses from Certificate 3 to Master's level, similar to their other campuses.

Naseem said that the courses at the Thinadhoo Campus would be focused on employed students and on a schedule easy for them. And the course fees are at a special rate as well.

Speaking at the ceremony yesterday, President of the Thinadhoo Island Council, Mohamed Naasih welcomed the Avid College Campus on the island. He said that the college would always receive the full support of the Island and Atoll Council.

Along with the Campus, Avid said that they also opened an information center as well which would be providing information on the different courses and application forms.
