Explosion injures 3 at Commercial Harbor

An oil barrel exploded at the Male’ Commercial Harbor this Tuesday morning, injuring three people.

The oil barrel had been placed at the area where welding work is done when it exploded.

The three people injured in the incident are all employees of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL). They have been taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for treatment

MPL reports none of the employees sustained any critical injuries.
