Elderly man in ICU after traffic collision in Hulhumalé

An elderly man injured in a traffic collision in Hulhumalé has started treatment at the ICU of ADK Hospital.

Sun Media has learned that the man injured in the traffic collision yesterday was 64-year-old Ibrahim Rasheed.

A member of his family said that doctors have lost hope that he would live long.

The family member said that the collision occurred yesterday evening when a speeding motorcycle hit his while he was parking his motorcycle.

The driver of the other motorcycle fled the scene according to the family.

The family said that according to the doctors, Ibrahim Rasheed sustained major head trauma along with a fracture on the knee.

Police Media Official said that a traffic collision occured yesterday evening on Nirolhumagu, near Habib Bank, in Hulhumalé and the injured man was treated at Hulhumalé Hospital before being transfered to ADK Hospital. And the other man involved in the collision fled the scene after leaving his vehicle behind.

The police are currently looking for the man according to their media official.
