PPM to host national-level sports competitions

PPM has announced that they are going to host a national volleyball tournament for women and a futsal tournament for men.

Speaking at press conference at the PPM Office today, Deputy Leader of the party, Abdul Raheem Abdulla said that the tournaments will be held as "Y18 Sports Fiesta".

He said that the two tournaments open nation-wide is intended to hold activities of PPM across the country. Only one team from each island is allowed to take part in the tournaments in the name of the island, not clubs and organizations.

Similar to Independence Championship, PPM has decided that regional champions to play the finals in Malé City. A prize money of MVR 300,000 has been set for the both champion teams.

Abdul Raheem Abdulla said that the party will be sponsoring the jersey sets for both competitions.
