Over a kilo of drugs seized from a shop

Maldives Police Service has seized over a kilogram of drugs from a shop in Malé City.

Police seized drugs suspected of cannabis stored in 29 film canisters and a large plastic packet.

Two foreigners were arrested in relation to the drugs.

A film canister of suspected cannabis were also found from a house related to the drugs found in the shop.

Police media official said that the drugs seized weigh 1.4 kilograms in total.
