Maldives Police Service has said that they have arrested 12 people tonight including those connected to the murder of 25-year old Mohamed Anas who was killed inside the Litus garage.
Anas was stabbed and killed on 31 July inside the Litus Motorcycle Service Center by two masked assailants.
In a special operation by the police tonight, people connected to the killing was arrested according to the police.
Aside from them, police said another group of people were arrested regarding the surge of gang violence in Malé City which include minors. All 12 arrested tonight were at Maafannu Asareehiyaa when they were arrested.
Previously, a 23-year-old man was killed inside a café with the rise of attacks in the city. Police have said that they have seized a number of tools that were ready to be used in gang violence.
