Police: Working on arresting 34 suspects connected to gang violence

Authorities are currently working on detaining 34 suspects connected to the serious of violent gang attacks which took place in Male’ City over the past couple of weeks, reports Maldives Police Service.

Police media official said the authority was working on obtaining arrest warrants for some 34 individuals, and that he cannot disclose any further information at the moment.

The identities of the suspects are therefore unclear at this point.

“Details will be disclosed later,” said the media official.

Five gang attacks have taken place in Male’ City just over the last seven days; leaving two dead and seven injured.
