2 injured in assault near AMDC

Two people were injured in an assault which took place near AMDC (Azmi-Naeem Medical & Diagnostic Centre) in Male’ City this Tuesday afternoon.

Police report the assault took place at approximately 2:08 pm, and that the two people injured have been taken to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.

Police have not confirmed whether any arrests have been made in connection with the case.

The assault took place minutes after a young man was stabbed in an assault which took place near Supreme Court.

It is unclear whether the two attacks are connected and part of a war between two rival gangs.
