Nazeera appointed Coordinator at Ministry of Gender

President of Women’s Branch of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA), Nazeera Ibrahim Manik has been appointed a Coordinator at Ministry of Gender and Family.

Nazeera said she was appointed a Coordinator by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom this Wednesday, and expressed confidence she will be able to perform her duties to satisfaction.

She also expressed a special interest in addressing issues faced women.

Nazeera is one of the four women commended with the Rehendhi Award by the State this year.

She received the award for her political and social work.

Rehendhi Award is given to commend women for exceptional work in serving the community.
