Shakoor replaced by Zuhoor as Stelco MD

Minister at the President’s Office, Ahmed Zuhoor has replaced Abdul Shakoor Solih as the Managing Director of the State Electric Company (Stelco).

The decision has been confirmed by President of Privatization Board, Mohamed Nizar.

Nizar said Shakoor has not yet been appointed to any other position.

Zuhoor, who was appointed to the position of MD of Stelco, has filled a number of top State positions including Minister of Health, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Minister at President's Office.

He is the only official to have headed so many government ministries during one term in Maldivian history.
