Group arrested in suspicion of drinking alcohol

Maldives Police Service has arrested a group of people from a house in Laamu Gan in suspicion of drinking alcohol.

Police said that the arrest was made in an operation last night following a report to Police Intelligence. Five local men were arrested in the operation.

Media official of the police said that one of the five people arrested has been remanded by 5 days.

The other four were remanded by 15 days by the court.

The case is being invested further.
