Mahibadhoo harbor contracted to Sri Lankan company

Alifu Dhaalu Mahibadhoo harbor project has been contracted to Sri Lanka's Senoc Company.

Talking to a press at a special ceremony held at the Housing Ministry today, the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said that Senoc is an experienced company which already has ongoing harbor projects in the Maldives.

The project was contracted for MVR 31 million from the state budget and to be completed within one year.

Minister Dr. Muizzu said that a 700 ft. long 200 ft. wide harbor will be constructed at Mahibadhoo.

"This harbor is something the people of the island (of Mahibadhoo) has been requesting. President Yameen prioritized the project and put it in the budget this year. On this, the (Mahibadhoo) constituency member Thoriq's work is also noteworthy." Housing Minister Dr. Muizzu said.
