Vikram Sinha leaves Maldives to work as CEO of Ooredoo Myanmar

Vikram Sinha - Managing Director of Ooredoo Maldives – has left the country for Myanmar where he will remain stationed after getting appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Ooredoo Myanmar.

Assistant Manager - Public Relations at Ooredoo Maldives, Noora Ibrahim Zahir reported Sinha left for Myanmar on April 28.

Noora said that Sinha will remain MD of Ooredoo Maldives despite the new appointment.

“Vikram is still the Managing Director of Ooredoo Maldives. He will provide all the assistance necessary while remaining in that position. Given his position, it’s not necessary for him to remain stationed in Maldives. Vikram now works as CEO of Ooredoo Myanmar,” said Noora.

Sinha – known for his interpersonal skills and openness to new ideas - brought revolutionary changes to Maldivian telecommunication industry during his time in the country.

Sinha took the reins of Ooredoo Maldives as its CEO in 2014 when Wataniya Maldives was rebranded to Ooredoo Maldives, and remained CEO of Ooredoo Maldives until he was appointed MD in April.
