Maldive Gas has signed on as a partner for the first ever hot air balloon festival being organized by Unix Sporting for this year’s Eid al Fitr.
At a ceremony held at Goatfish café today, the agreement for the festival was signed by the Marketing Manager of Maldive Gas, Aminath Mohamed Saeed and the Managing Director of Unix Sporting, Reshan Shareef.
This is will be the first such event in Maldivian history. Although the event was initially set for 19 and 20 May, the event was rescheduled for the Eid al Fitr at the Maafannu Stadium.
Under the agreement signed today, Maldive Gas will be providing liquid petroleum gas (LPG) for the event. Promotional events by Maldive Gas will be held in the area at the time of the event.
Three hot air balloons will be used in the first ever hot air balloon festival in the country with the occupancy for four people. The balloons will rise 200 ft in the air.
