Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom has accused state institutes of threatening members of the parliament and the people.
In a tweet sent out today by the former member of PPM called to put an end to the threatening of MPs and innocent people of the public through state institutes.
While Maumoon has sent out such a tweet, the Police entered Qasim’s private residence, Maafannu Villa, and the main headquarters of his business, Villa Group with search warrants earlier today searching for evidence related to the bribery and allegations of a coup.
But no evidence was found by the Police at both locations.
The Police also searched the residence of a member of the Maumoon faction with a court order in suspicion of conspiracy to a coup. No evidence was found from that location either.
