MRDC contracted to clean 39 mosques in Addu City

Islamic Ministry has contracted the Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC) to clean 39 mosques in Addu City for the coming month of Ramadan.

At a special ceremony held at Islamic Ministry today, the agreement was signed by the Islamic Minister, Dr. Ahmed Ziyad and the Managing Director of MRDC, Ahmed Nimal.

Under the agreement signed today, other works at the mosques will also be done aside from the cleaning.

MRDC was also contracted to clean and keep six cemeteries at Addu City.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Ziyad said that the agreement signed today would bring a lot of ease and happiness to the people of Addu City.

The Managing Director of MRDC, Nimal, also spoke at the ceremony saying that the agreement would help fulfill the promises made by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom to the people of Addu.
