Ameeth kicked out of PPM

Maduvvaru MP, Ahmed Ameeth Ahmed Manik has been voted out of ruling Progressive Party of Maldives by the party’s ethics committee.

The decision was made during an ethics committee meeting held this Tuesday.

Ameeth was reported to the ethics committee by PPM’s parliamentary group after he announced his support for the no-confidence motion against Speaker of People’s Majlis, Abdulla Maseeh Mohamed.

All PPM lawmakers held a meeting on Monday afternoon and unanimously agreed to remove Ameeth from the party.
