Maldives Police Service has arrested the social media activist, Thoyyib Shaheem.
Police Media Official told Sun Media today that Shameem was arrested last night with a court order around 12 a.m. last night.
Before his arrest, Shaheem had tweeted that 12 black boxes and one silver box was transported to the VIP Bungalow of Aarah from the Saudi helicopter under the supervision of two MMA officers.
On 1 March, Police issued a statement saying that no actions the diminishes the honor of distinguished guests of the country would be allowed.
While Thoyyib has been arrested under a court order, Police conducted a search of the MDP hall in suspicion of obstructing the Saudi KIng’s visit to the country and seized a number of fabric rolls.
And the former movie star, Mohamed Shavin was summoned and questioned by the Police yesterday in suspicion of assisting in preparing item for the protest against the government project in Faafu Atoll.
