19 Maldivian companies take part in the biggest travel show in Russia

A total of 19 Maldivian companies have taken part in the biggest travel show in Russia, the Moscow International Exhibition Travel and Tourism (MITT).

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) said that 42 representatives from 19 companies is promoting the Maldives at the exhibition in Moscow.

The Maldives received an area of 114 square meter at the MITT according to the MMPRC. And they are set to hold joint promotions with the Maldivian companies at the three-day event that began today.

MMPRC said that social media promotions with different prizes along with business meetings and other activities would be carried out at the Maldivian stalls.

MITT is an annual travel and tourism exhibition where over 1800 companies from 192 countries take part to make big deals in the global tourism industry.

Russia is one of the biggest tourism markets for the Maldives. Ando so the number of Russian tourists that came to the Maldives went up by 5 percent last year compared to 2015 raising the number to 46,255.
