44 teams take part in the school and college volleyball competition

A total of 44 teams have taken part in the inter-school and college volleyball competition.

Volleyball Association of Maldives (VAM) said that 17 schools and five colleges are taking part in the competition being held from 6-15 March.

Speaking at a press conference held at the seminar room at the Social Center, the President of VAM, Mohamed Latheef said that competition will become the first to feature 408 athletes which is a first of it’s kind.

The age groups in the interschool competition are under 14, under 16 and under 19. Although only men’s division teams would be competing in the under 19 category, all other category would have a women’s division as well. Both division would be competing in the intercollege tournament.

• Ahmadiyya International School

• Vilufushi School

• Villa International High School

• Madifushi School

• Center for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE)

• Alifushi School

• MAPS International High School
