Former Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation, Mohamed Nimal has been appointed the new Managing Director of Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC).
President of Privatization and Corporation Board, Mohamed Nizar confirmed the appointment in a tweet he made from his official Twitter account this Wednesday.
Nimal will be filling the position left vacant after the former Managing Director of MRDC, Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem was appointed CEO of Maldives Ports Limited this Wednesday.
Haleem was transferred to MPL after the former CEO of MPL, Mohamed Junaid announced his sudden decision to resign from this position last Tuesday night.
Nimal had been working as Deputy Minister of Tourism before he was appointed MD of MRDC.
He had previously been MD of Fenaka Corporation since its establishment. He was removed from the post on September 26 amid allegations of corruption within the organization.
