Woman of foreign nationality arrested for solicitation

A woman of foreign nationality has been arrested for suspected solicitation from a guesthouse located in the Galolhu district of Male’ City.

Police media official reports the woman was arrested by the authorities on Saturday night.

He said the police initially went to the area to follow up on report of street fight.

“The police went to investigate a street fight. But they followed up on a tip received upon arrival and searched the guesthouse and also arrested a woman of foreign nationality suspected of solicitation,” said the media official.

The police also arrested two men of foreign nationality involved in the street fight which the authorities were initially alerted to.

No further details regarding the woman, or the two men arrested in the street fight have been released.
