Police probe death threat against MP Inthi

Police have started investigating a death threat issued against Maldivian Democratic Party spokesperson, North Maafannu MP Imthiyaz Fahmy (Inthi).

Police media official reported the complaint was filed with the authority on Friday night. And that the authority was investigating the case.

Inthi was issued the death threat via the social media application – Viber.

In the message sent from an Ooredoo number, Inthi was threatened that he will be stabbed to death.

People’s Majlis members were targeted with death threats in a series of text messages some time back. The culprits were never found out.
