Developers of the pavilion at Rasfannu Artificial Beach, Brothers Catering, has said that it would take another four months to open the pavilion with a Pizza Hut and KFC chain restaurants.
The pavilion was contracted to Brothers Catering on 31 October 2016 and the company said that the project would be completed within six months.
Talking to the press at the Rasfannu pavilion area today, the Chairman of Gema Castaways company, bring in the franchise on behalf of Brothers Catering, Hussain Hilmee said that there is work ongoing at the pavilion even if there is no sign of any “physical work.”
He said that there are standards required at the structure as they plan to bring in a number of brands.
And the opening of the pavilion is being delayed due to the work required to facilitate the standards of all franchises coming to the pavilion.
Hilmee said that the two groups preparing food at the pavilion would so differently with different ingredients and the seating capacity and promotion standards are different.
As the last round of inspection have started today, the Chairman of Gema Castaway said that the inspections would be done by the end of next month and the finishing of the pavilion would begin.
He said that the hope is to open the place in three to four months.
While the lower floor of the pavilion is set to house a KFC restaurant, the upper floor would house a Pizza Hut. While the overhead bridge access to the first floor of the pavilion complete, an elevator and a ramp has been installed to facilitate people with disabilities.
Aside from KFC and Pizza Hut, Brothers Catering said that they would bring the popular Mexican food franchise, Taco Bell along with the pastries franchise, Delifrance to the pavilion.
