Maldives Film Association has established an advisory committee.
Chairperson of Maldives Film Association, Ihavandhoo MP Mohamed Abdulla (Muhamma) spoke to “Sun” this Thursday and said the decision was made by the association’s executive board.
Members of advisory committee:
• Dhangethi MP Ilham Ahmed
• Hoarafushi MP Mohamed Ismail
• Biledhdhoo MP Ahmed Mubeen
Muhamma said the advisory committee will be responsible for providing advice to the executive board and developing the association.
“Those appointed to the advisory committee are very well-established and honest people. This is the first time in Maldivian history for an advisory committee to be established for the film association,” said Muhamma.
He also said that appointing a team of all ruling Progressive Party of Maldives lawmakers to the advisory committee will make it easier for the association to communicate with the government.
Muhamma said the advisory committee will be working to increase Maldives Film Association’s collaborations with international film associations.
