Sun becomes media partner for Sounds of Maldives – Singapore

Sun Media has signed on as a media partner for the Sounds of Maldives organized by High Rise to showcase the Maldivian music artists and promote Maldivian tourism.

At a special signing agreement held today at Sun Media, the agreement was signed between the Sales and Marketing Manager of High Rise, Mohamed Shaamin and the Marketing Manager of Sun Media, Ali Ameer.

High Rise have decided to host the annual music show with four music bands since 2011, to be held in Singapore this year. This year’s Sounds of Maldives show would be held in Suntec City, Singapore, at the Diving Resort Travel Expo 2017 (DRTE) from 24-27 February.

The talents of the popular “Boduberu” (traditional drums) group, Habeys, Gravity by Habeys, DJ Ayya and Rishwan Imon (Ritte) is to be showcased at the show.

While Habeys Boduberu is set to perform from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on 24 February, DJ Ayya is set to take the stage from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. of the same day. On 25 February, Rishwan Imon (Ritte) would perform from 4:60 p.m to 6:40 p.m. with Habeys Boduberu performing from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Gravity by Habeys performing on the evening of 26 February.

Following media partnership with Sun for the Sounds of Maldives, Shaamin said that High Rise believes that Sun Media joining the annual event is a progress to the show.

He said that the company is happy with the coverage of previous events of High Rise.

Marketing Managing of Sun Media, Ali Ameer said that Sounds of Maldives by High Rise is a great effort in the country that adds to the progress of Maldivian tourism and promoting local talents. And a part of Sun Media in the effort is received as a service to the country.

DRTE hosts seven expos annually in different countries. Along with the big countries in tourism, over 150 participants join the DRTE.
