Maldives Gas chosen best subsidiary of STO

Maldives Gas has been chosen best subsidiary of State Trading Organization (STO).

The best subsidiary award is given by STO to the company operating under the organization which shows exemplary progress in increasing efficiency of operations and adherence to corporate governance.

Maldives Gas was conferred the award during STO’s 52-year anniversary celebration held on Saturday night.

The award was handed over by Chairman of STO, Hussain Salim, and accepted by Managing Director of Maldives Gas, Abdulla Maumoon (Maanu).

In his interview to “Sun”, Maanu thanked Chairman of STO, Salim for his guidance in running the company.

He credited the achievement to the company’s employees’ adherence to instructions given by Board of Directors of Maldives Gas, and other senior officials of the company. He thanked and congratulation employees for their contribution.

Maanu commended STO’s initiative in awarding and acknowledging the efforts of its subsidiaries, and said it was motivation for employees to increase efficiency.
