MP Saudulla pledges allegiance to President Yameen

North Thinadhoo representative of People’s Majlis, Saudulla Hilmy has pledged his allegiance to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and his administration.

Saudulla reported to “Sun” that he had never voiced out against President Yameen’s administration.

He said the people wanted to know where he stood, and that the answer was that he stood with

President Yameen and his administration.

“My constituents want me to stand with President Yameen,” said Saudulla.

The lawmaker also thanked President Yameen for the infrastructure development projects being run in Thinadhoo.

Saudulla had originally allied himself with former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom when the rift appeared within the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM).

Government recently cancelled many of its projects contracted to Swift Engineering – owned by MP Saudulla.
