Samples to be sent abroad to investigate death of couple

Police reports samples taken from the bodies of the couple found dead in their bedroom on January 8 will be sent abroad for further analysis of the cause of death.

Gasim Shahid, 47, and Razeena Ibrahim, 42, were found dead – seemingly in their sleep – on their bed in the apartment in M. Light Signal they shared with their three children.

No visible signs of injuries were found on their body, and they were buried in a shared grave after samples were taken from their bodies for analysis.

Police media official reported that analysis done in Maldives showed no evidence of foul play.

And that it had been decided sampled would be sent abroad for further analysis.

he couple – who were both originally from Th. Vilufushi – are survived by their three children – two boys and a girl.
