Death of couple remains a mystery, 1-week in

Police reports its investigation into the case of the married couple found dead in their room in M. Light Signal on January 8 remains ongoing, one-week in.

Qasim Shahid, 47, and Razeena Ibrahim, 42, were found dead after family members concerned over their failure to apparently get up in the morning after going to sleep on January 7 opened their bedroom and found them unresponsive on their bed.

Police media official reported to “Sun” this Sunday that the investigation was still ongoing into the case.

Police has yet to make an official comment regarding the cause of death. And the family has not been informed of the cause of death by the police either.

A senior police officer who spoke to “Sun” earlier reported that there were no visible signs of injury on either of their bodies.

The bodies of Shahid and Razeena were buried in a shared grave in Aasahara Cemetery on January 9 after police ran tests and took samples from their bodies for further analysis.

The couple – who were both originally from Th. Vilufushi – are survived by their three children – two boys and a girl.
